Events › Book Buddies - Teen Big Buddy Training

Book Buddies is a FREE 10-week long literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).

At this training, teens interested in being Big Buddies will learn the best practices for reading and interacting with Little Buddies. Attending this training is required to be a Big Buddy.

Applications to be a Big Buddy are available now at the High Meadows Library reference desk! Teens involved with the program must be in 8th to 12th grade (13-18 years old) and will receive volunteer hours for their participation.
