Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books.

The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge. This program also provides families with fundamental information, support and tools to assist them in creating individual family reading strategies and ideas that foster a love of reading in their homes.
While they explore, parents will join our Order of the Shelf-Keepers to learn how to turn your home space(s) into a world-class archive of learning and curiosity.

Join the League—your adventure begins on page one!

NOTE*: Space is limited due to spatial limitations of the library building and for ensuring child safety.

Registration applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling, ongoing process, based on availability and needs.

Incomplete and late applications may not be eligible or overlooked. Please wait until you are notified of acceptance to the League before attending.

So, be sure to complete and return the application to the front desk of the West University Branch Library.
